Birthday Card with Framelits Die

I finally got a card made.....it's been a while I must say. With the new Occasions mini catalog I purchased the Framelits die, label collection and the Apothecary Art stamp set. I love both of these items and they make such a beautiful card.

I used Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock. The accessories used were the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder, large pearls, and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.

I made this card for my Mother-in-Law's 91st birthday! She loves all the cards I give her and saves every one. Love her!!

Stocking Gift Card Holder

Over the weekend I had time to play with the Big Shot and the new Holiday Stocking Bigz die and the Stocking Accents Original die in the holiday mini catalog. I also used the Silver glitter paper which adds a little "bling" to your project.

On the back of the stocking, there is a slit which was made using the Word Window punch - moving it over a bit and punching a second time makes the opening bigger to accommodate a gift card.

The front was decorated with holly and berries and ribbon which can be used to hang on the tree afterward. There are so many combinations you can try with all of the holiday designer papers that are in the catalogs. I can't wait to make more and experiment with all the possibilities!!

Another project from my recent vendor show.....an altered composition notebook covered in designer paper and simply embellished with ribbon. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip and combined with the blue designer paper makes a classic look.

I love making these for gifts also and they go over well at the shows.

"Magic Reindeer Food"

I recently had a vendor party at my house in which 9 sales reps from several home party companies had a table to sell their products. I of course was representing Stampin' Up! and had various paper projects on hand. Today I will show you one of my favorites, Magic Reindeer Food. It's basically quick oats, glitter and red cookie sprinkles mixed up and put in a plastic tube. I used a retired set called Deer Friends, and stamped the reindeer then punched out and layered on two other punches. The saying was typed out on the computer and layered on real red card stock. So cute!!!

Ghostly Halloween Card

This is the last of the projects we did at my Halloween class. It's a very simple card but cute none the less. The stamp set is Scaredy Cat using the long halloween stamp - I love the way the image of the ghost is set in place of the "A". So cute.

I used the new Frightful Sights DSP and the card stock is Cajun Craze and Old Olive. With a pumpkin pie Stampin' Write Marker I outlined the ghost and some of the letters just to give it more color.

Scaredy Cat Treat Box

This is the 3rd project from my Halloween class. I "cased" this from Angie Juda, who is an extremely talented demonstrator!

This uses the Big Shot and the Sizzix #2 Box Die, an Old Olive sheet of card stock covered with the Fright Night dsp, black taffeta ribbon and the stamp set - Scaredy Cat. The 1 3/4" circle punch was used for the image and the black c/s was cut with the Circle Scissors Plus for a 2" layer.

I can't wait to make these for my vendor show and I also might make them for Gianna's 2nd grade class. So cute!

Pumpkin Witch Card

This is the second project from my Halloween class. We used the set called Jack of All Trades in the Idea Book & Catalog. Colors used are Pumpkin Pie for the base card, Concord Crush, Old Olive and Whisper White.

The witches hat was stamped with Stazon Black on Basic Gray c/s. I also used the Spider Web embossing folder with the Concord Crush. The star was stamped on Whisper White using More Mustard ink.

This card was cased from a card I saw in Spiltcoast Stampers, and I changed up some of the colors.

Halloween Hand Sanitizer Holder

I had a class today doing Halloween treat boxes and cards. This is the first project we did and I just love making them!! Bath & Body Works sells mini hand sanitizers that have a Halloween theme and they are so cheap.....5 for $5.oo. I bought a lot of them to make for classes and my holiday open house in October. I "cased" this project from Dawn Griffith. I love how every year she does tutorials on new holiday items. I can always count on her for great ideas! Thanks Dawn. I used the stamp set, Batty For You, which is great because it has 8 different images that are perfect for this project. I also used the Spider Web embossing folder with the Big Shot.

The card stock colors I used are: Whisper White, Basic Black, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade.

Sail Away

Seems like I've been needing some male birthday cards lately, so I decided to use a stamp set I purchased from the recent summer mini catalog, Sail Away. It's just one stamp and it's just right for that masculine theme. I also used the DSP which came in the mini which I downloaded to My Digital Studio. I love the fact that you can purchase these items as a download for a really good price and have it to print out on regular copy paper. Looks like the real thing.

I am having a class this weekend to do Halloween projects and also I'll be making tons of items for a holiday open house that I have every year, so hope you come back to view all my projects in the next few weeks.

Liam's BD Card

Yesterday we went to our nephew's 5th birthday party and what a nice day we had with the family. I made his birthday card using the Pennant Parade set and making a little banner. The best part about using this set is that you don't have to cut out the pennants once you stamp them, there is a matching punch - LOVE IT!

I'm looking forward to making many more cards with this set.......I can see the possibilities!

Convention Swap - Christmas Tree

Today I'm sharing the third of my convention swaps using the Pennant Parade stamp set in the new catalog. I love this set as you can do so many fun things with it. I saw a card on SCS from Cindy (cards4ever) and loved how she used the set - thanks for the idea, Cindy!

The obvious is making a pennant or banner with it. The other use for it is a Christmas tree. I loved making this card and I think I just might have to use it as one of my holiday cards this year. I always try to use a few sets to make my 80+ cards for family and friends.

At convention I gave swappers the option to take one of two cards and they almost always chose this one - I only did 30 of these so they went fast.

I stamped the tree on Whisper White c/s, then ran it through the Big Shot with the Lattice embossing folder - love this technique, it's looks like quilting!

Gigi's Purse

Gianna had a sleep over with us last night and of course when she wakes up she wants to craft. Today she wanted to make a purse for her BFF Amanda, like the one I made her a while ago.

I cut out all the paper using the Big Shot and the Top Note and Large Scallop Circle Dies. She glued everything together and then stamped with the new BFF set I got at convention and then she punched out a butterfly for the front and put a little "bling" on. It came out cute.

She wanted me to post it on my blog so everyone could see. I think she did a great job and I love how she wants to craft with stamps!! My little assistant! Love her.

Now we're going in the pool for the rest of the day!!!

Convention Trade - Birdcage

Here is the 2nd card I did for my convention swaps this year. I love this set - Natures Walk, it's so good for collage type cards. I used soft suede for the base, then took Baja Breeze and ran it through the Big Shot with the Tulip Border Embossing Folder. Then stamped on whisper white and used a dauber to put some color on the edges.

This card was my favorite! It all came together so nicely.

Convention Trade - Pear

Hi all,

Well, just came back from convention yesterday and can I say WOW! This one was absolutely amazing, best one in years. We got some great new sets with a really nice bag and then we also were lucky enough to get more stamp sets (one of which I won with the "Prize Patrol"
give-a-ways".)

Once again I had a great time hanging out with my convention buddy and roommate, Peggy.

I'm posting a picture of one of the swaps I made to trade. This year I pushed myself to make 100 card fronts and I actually made 120 - I impressed myself! We traded with some pretty talented demos and I was so happy to get great ideas from them.

Stay tuned this week to see the other 3 cards I made. I promised Peggy I would post more often, since I sometimes (ha ha) get a bit slacked about it.

Bunny "Lollipop" Treat

Hi all, hope you all had a nice Easter. This was a little gift I gave to a friend's son and I also made one in pink for my niece. I found the video from a fellow SU demo named Sharon White. It's a fun project but a little time consuming. I loved the fact that it incorporated the Sweet Treat Cups we sell in the catalog. You get the candies out in the back with a little trap door. So cute.

I'm thinking of promoting them on my Etsy shop as baby shower favors - what do you think??

Chick Treat Box

This cute little treat box is so easy to make with the Big Shot and the box die. Just assemble box and attach eyes (3/4" circle punch), Nose (2 small heart punch) and wings (2 scallop circle punch).

I used So Saffron for the box and Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black for the features. I also used Pumpkin Pie taffeta ribbon for the handle.

Build A Blossom

Good afternoon all, I just love this card, which I cased from someone on SCS, I'll have to check for her name.

I finally used my Build-a-Blossom stamp set and matching punch - LOVE IT! I also used one of the new colors - Blushing Bride, which is truly not a blush, but it's also not a bright pink, nice color!

To assemble the flower, punch out a 1" circle and put mono adhesive on the entire circle, then start arranging the large petals (5) all around the circle. Then put more mono on the top of that and assemble the small petals (5) in between the large ones. Stamp the small round flower piece in the set with Early Espresso and put a dimensional on the back and stick to the center of the flower.

So easy and elegant.

Bunny Treat Topper

This cute litte bunny treat topper was done with all punches. The base is the Top Note die using the Big Shot machine.

Ears: large oval punch with chocolate chip c/s, small oval punch with pretty in pink c/s

Eyes: 3/4" round punch with black c/s and while gel pen for the mark in eyes

Nose: small heart from triple heart punch with pretty in pink, (2) 1" circle punch glued side by side, and single small heart punch with pretty in pink c/s

I had some 3x5 plastic zip lock bags and filled with Easter candies.

This is a really quick project for giving out in school classes or co-workers.

Easter Card

Hi all,

I had a small class yesterday to make Easter/Spring cards & 3D projects. Here is the first card we did. I love using punches to make animals/objects. The girls loved the way the basket came out using the curly lable punch and the small and large ovals for the handle. The eggs are from the Nature Walk stamp set in the current Occasions mini. I stamped a few and then cut them out (what a pain!), but it looks good.

Motorcycle Fever

Hi all, today I'm posting a birthday card I made for a co-worker. I cased this from Lynda Lee over at SCS. I used a different color (to match my friend's bike) and tweaked it a bit with the accessories.

The bottom part was done with metallic c/s (not SU) and put thru the Big Shot with one of the texured plates. It came out so good. The "screws" were done punching (8) 1/4" circles and then cutting 4 of them in half and re-gluing on the full circles. Taking the basic gray marker, I just drew a line down the middle to make it look like the groove in the screw. Thanks Lynda for the great idea!

Shimmer Ornament Card

Yet another card from my SAS session. I've been wanting to try the shimmer paint for a while now and I saw a card on SCS that I thought I could use it for. I like the use of a different blue color for this card - it's Not Quite Navy.

I applied the shimmer paint directly to the stamp using a sponge dauber, which is a great technique, goes on so easy and dries fairly quick.

I think I might need to make a few to send out - better late than never!!

Christmas Bird Card

This is one of 4 cards we made at my annual Christmas card Stamp-A-Stack. This one uses the new & improved Crumb Cake (Kraft) c/s and the Holiday set

Northern Hearts. The bird is made from the XL Bird Punch. I used markers to color in the red & green on the wreath and the white is layered on retited Close to Cocoa.

Post-It Note Holder with Pen

Here is another item I sold at a recent vendor party. I really like these and they are so easy to make. One piece of cardstock, a few score marks, sticky strip, two cuts, decorate the front, add a mini gel pen and you have a cute and practical gift for any ocassion. I sold quite a few of these in different colors and designer papers - it's so nice to have a big variety of paper. I did custom make some with initials for a customer that is giving them out to

co-workers for the holidays.

Holiday Lip Balm Holder

I just love this little "treat" - a cute little gift for any one who always carries lip balm or chapstick. It looks like a little book from the outside but when opened reveals a full size lip balm.

The lip balm I put in was hand made by a fellow crafter I met on an online store called ETSY. She make vegan cosmetics products. I purchased peppermint and Cherry flavors.

I sold these at a recent vendor event and they went pretty well. I'm going to give them out to some of my co-workers for the holidays.

Chipboard Coaster Desk Calendar

Isn't this such a cute little project? It's made with 2 chipboard coasters measuring 4x4 and covered with designer papers on both sides of each coaster. I used my Crop-A-Dile to put holes on the top of each one and then placed jumbo brads and fed grosgrain ribbon thru both coasters so it would stand up.

I purchased 2011 mini calendars online and layered it upon some cardstock and adhered to the front coaster with dimensionals.

This is going to make a great teacher, co-worker or family gift for the holidays.

Hand Sanitizer Holder

Halloween Test Tube Treat Holder

I finally got to take a picture of this test tube treat holders I did for my vendor event. I made these using different colored card stock and different designer papers. They all came out great and I sold all of the ones I made.

Spooky Treat Box

I had an exhausting weekend but very enjoyable. First there was the delayed train ride from hell to Baltimore during the recent storm last Thursday. Friday was the full day Stampin' Up! Regional at the Baltimore Convention Center with my wonderful convention buddy, Peggy and her downline. We had such a nice day. After we went to the Inner Harbor for dinner where I had the most delicious crab cake sandwich - have to have that in Charm City!! Spent Saturday at Peggy's making a darling banner with the pennant die for the Big Shot. Thankfully the train ride home that night was uneventful and I was able to relax reading a really good book.

Now that I'm home I wanted to share the last of the projects we did at my Halloween class. The cute treat box opens up to hold your favorite candy. The bellyband in the center slides off so you can open the box.

I'll be taking pictures of the make-n-takes we did at Regionals using a stamp set from the new Holiday mini catalog.

Witch's Hat Treat Box

This treat box was the second project from my Halloween stamp class. I cased this from a fellow demo, Tami White - she is really quite talented and I love her projects.

Using only a few items this treat box is so easy to create and the kids will love it.

The belt buckle is the curly label punch and then using fine glitter to cover it. The top of the box opens so you can fill it with yummy Halloween treats.

I'm off to Baltimore today so I can attend the Stampin' Up! regional tomorrow and see my wonderful friend Peggy so we can stamp the day away.

Wicked Cool Card

I finally got a class going over the weekend and this is one of the projects we made. I am just loving this Halloween set called Wicked Cool. It has such cute images and my favorites are the witch's shoes and her hat! I also love the new Big Shot embossing folder - Square Lattice.

The colors I used were Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White. I used DSP from last year. The hat was stamped then cut out and popped up with dimensionals.

I love Halloween!!!

Happy Monday! Over the weekend I needed a birthday card for a special little boy, our nephew, Liam, who turns 4 tomorrow. I saw a card on SCS using the Fox & Friends stamp set and I knew I just needed to do a card like it. What caught my eye was the barrel made out of the wide oval punch and the little monkey peeking out of it - so cute!

I did use a retired color card stock & ink- Close to Cocoa. So sorry to see this one go. I use retired items for my personal use - just can't seem to let some things go.

Greenhouse Garden

Happy Sunday! It's going to be a very hot day here in NJ and I think I'm staying inside and try to clean my stamp room.

In the meantime I'll show you the card I did for a good friend on her 50th birthday.
I used the set Greenhouse Garden and the colors are Elegant Eggplant and Certainly Celery. I love the Big Shot for using the embossing folders - this card used the Square Lattice folder which makes a really nice mat background.

Magnetic Message Board

Good afternoon all.

I got a chance to make one of these magnetic message boards yesterday. My hubby went to Lowe's one day and I asked him to look for 5x7 galvanized roof flashing - he came home with a package of 100!! Ok, so I guess I have to make a lot of these, but I love it.

The DSP is from the new catalog called Newsprint (117116). You just adhere sticky tape to the paper and put on the metal sheets. I then rounded the corners with a tool called the Corner Chomper (SU does not sell) and sanded the edges to smooth. Use the Crop-A-Dile to punch holes at the top and thread ribbon through. I then took card stock and punched shapes and glued together and attached a magnet on back. Viola......instant memo board and SO EASY!!

I have so much retired DSP, so I'm going to make a ton of these to sell on my ETSY shop.

Motorcycle

Ok, so I haven't posted since May 9th - I have no excuses. Well maybe I do, but I'm sure you don't want to hear it. Anyway with all the excitement of the new catalog I think maybe I should start playing with some of my new "toys". The only one used on this card is the motorcycle stamp from the summer mini. I love this stamp, as I need more masculine stamps. I made this card for a friend's 40th birthday. I also tried using heavy duty tin foil with the big shot and textured plates - it came out ok, but I wrinkled the foil a bit when putting it on the card.

I'm going to play with some of the new colors and new stamps today for a bit. I'll see what I come up with and I promise I will post it.

I just love this card......so fun & cute. The set is one of my favorites and I really do need to do some more with it. This was the last of the cards we did at our last class. I used quite a few things on this card and finally got to use the white jumbo grommet that I bought in bulk ( yes I sometimes hoard accessories!) You really can't tell from the picture but on the bottom part of the olive green c/s, it has tiny holes punched acroos.

Every stamper I know always struggles for nice masculine birthday cards - so here is one which I saw on SCS and "tweaked" it a bit.

Ink: Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Soft Suede polka-dot grosgrain ribbon, modern label and word window punches, dimensionals.

Upsy Daisy Thank You

Another of our class projects - I used a retiring color for the cardstock, one stamp set and one ink color to create a lovely thank-you card. The lighter color ink on the image is achieved by not inking again after you stamp the first image, just go slightly to the right of the first image to give it a shadow effect.

Asian Artistry Note Card

Today's card is a very simple one using a hostess set from the current Idea Book & Catalog. It's for no particular occasion or day - I would use this for a note card. I love making cards that are simple yet clean and elegant. Check out the easy supply list. It also shows that you don't have to use ink pads for stamping color - markers work too!

Butterfly Sympathy Card

Here is another card we did last week at my greeting card class. The
person who originally did this card is "asolven" over at Splitcoaststampers. I did not have a SU sympathy greeting stamp, so I used one that I had from years past. This one was fairly easy to do and I love using the butterfly sizzix embosslit die. This can be adapted to so many different occasions and it's so elegant.

Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue, Jumbo wheel vintage
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper white
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Sizzlit die, 1 1/4" square punch and 1 3/8" square punch, mini glue dots.

Sweet Birthday Card

This past Sunday I had a card class - 8 miscellaneous cards: birthdays, thank you, get well and we did a sympathy card as well. In the next few days I will be posting each card that we did. I hope you enjoy them and if you are in the NJ area, come to one of my classes. We always have fun!

Card for Steph

Today I'm posting a birthday card I did for my niece this month. I used Bermuda Bay for the bottom, Soft Suede for the base card and Whisper White for the top and the greeting, which was punched with the jumbo oval punch.

The stamp sets are Great Friend and Well Scripted. I stamped the butterfly in Bermuda Bay and then took a sponge dauber with Soft Suede and "dabbed" in a few spots the cut out, I thought that gave it a different look. It has dimensionals to pop it up and finished it with Soft Suede polka-dot ribbon. The bottom was put thru the Big Shot using the Dots embossing folder.

New Color Renovation Coming to Stampin' Up!

There is a lot going on at Stampin' Up!, and the most recent is that beginning with the new catalog in July there will be a color renovation of all inks, card stock, markers and any accessories associated with them.

I have listed below the colors that will be GONE with the new color change. These colors will only be available until the end of June, so if your favorite is retiring then you might want to stock up before it's gone forever.

There will be a total of 40 colors, which will now include, basic black, whisper white, very vanilla and kraft, which is now called crumb cake. They are bringing back some old "in-colors" and also introducing 5 brand new colors. See the color chart to the right for the actual colors, click on it for a bigger view.

I know this sounds MAJOR, and I think it is, but I also think that it will be exciting. Please contact me if you have any questions or you wish to place an order.

Easter Milk Carton Treat Box

Here is a milk carton box that I decorated for Easter. I didn't have any SU ribbon that matched the card stock for the middle section. These little boxes are so cute and using the Big Shot to cut them out is so quick and easy.

I used the set Eggcutraments from the Occasions mini. I love this set because it coordinates with our punches!

I'll have one more project from my vendor fair to show you and then some cards I'm doing for a workshop tonight.

Mini Bunny Basket

Hi all, it's been a while. I attended a school fundraising event last Friday and made some Easter treat holders to sell. While I thought they were adorable and so did many others, I only sold a few.

Today I am showing you the first item: a mini easter basket. I used Barely Banana, Close to Cocoa card stock and the stamp - Chocolate Bunny - from the Ocassions mini. I love this stamp because when you emboss it looks like a real chocolate bunny!!!

Simple Valentine

I liked this card because it was very simple to do and it's really cute!

Monkey Valentine

I love this stamp set - Fox & Friends from the Occasions mini - it's so cute and great for all kinds of kid cards. My friend from work wanted me to make her a valentine card for her granddaughter and she told me to use a monkey, so this was it.

I used so many products in this card and want to thank Kathleen Hopperstad for her card at SCS for the inspiration.

Valentine Easel Card

This is the last of the projects we did at our Valentine Class. Card stock is Real Red and Whisper White, Sending Love DSP, I {heart} Hearts and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Pink Epoxy Brads and Real Red classic ink.

This is an easel card which is very popular now. It's a nice way to "show" off the card in a different way.

Pillow Box Treats

Good afternoon,

Today's post is about little Valentine treats. This is the SU sizzix pillow box die. Before you assemble it, punch the bottom portion with the large heart punch and then put clear acetate on the inside to form the window. Using the Sending Love DSP from the Occasions mini I cut a strip of about 3/4" and put it down the left side, wrapped pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and punched out the medium heart from the heart to heart punch and put a dimensional on back to pop it up. So cute and it holds 6 Hershey kisses!

I did use the retired textured Pink Pirourette card stock for the box.

Vintage Valentine

Here is another card we did at my Valentine Class. This is one of my favorite color combinations and I love the "vintage" feel.

I used the "I {heart} Hearts stamp set (clear mount), the Sending Love DSP from the Ocassions mini. You HAVE to check out stamping with the clear mounts - they are GREAT. The smaller pink heart that I stamped in the large dotted heart was so easy to do and I didn't have to use the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to get it even. One of the benefits of using the clear mounts!

For the background I used the big swirl stamp from the Baroque Motifs set from the big catalog. The colors are Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, Real Red & Whisper White. The ribbon is Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.

The scallop edge was done using the Scallop Trim Border punch which I got FREE for
Sale-A-Bration spending $50.

Since it is close to Valentine's Day, that's what we focused on - and also some new SU products from the Occasions mini catalog. Hi all, I know I've been again MIA. December and January were quite hectic for me and I did not do a lot of stamping - I guess you can say I lost my mojo! lol.

Anyway, I placed a rather large order from the Occasions Mini catalog and received FREE SAB sets, which I'm so excited about. Lots of the new clear mount sets which I totally love.

The first card was for a 3 year old's birthday I needed for today. I used the Fox & Friends set - a great card for kids. I chose the turtle stamp and used Old Olive, Really Rust & Chocolate Chip ink and Old Olive and Whisper White Card stock. Scallop, 1 3/8" punch and 5/8" grosgrain ribbon complete the look.

Winter Birthday

I don't know why this card reminds me of winter but it does. Maybe it's the colors - Kraft, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry. I also love the stamp images in the set Pocket Silhouettes.

I also used the scallop edge & corner tab punches, mini brass brads and reversed the soft suede polka dot ribbon to show the solid color side.

The Happy Birthday greeting is from the retired set It's your Birthday.

Ornament Money Holder

Hi all,

Here is another project I did for a vendor show. It's a money holder made to look like a present, and when you pull on the loop out pops an ornament with a pocket you can put money in. This idea came from a stamper's blog and right now I can't remember her name, but I will post when I find it.

I made many of these using current Holiday DSP and some from last year. The insert is made using the scallop circles die (the one with the 2 scallops-larger) and then I cut out 2 circles with the Circle Scissors Plus tool and then embellished with the oval scallop, modern label and word window punches. The loop is made with silver elastic cord.

I had fun with these and they are really easy to put together.

Hi all, long time no see. Sorry for the delay in keeping my blog current. I'm back to posting! Yea.

I have been searching for 3-D projects to make for a vendor party I was asked to sell at last weekend and found some really cute ideas. The first one I'm posting was "cased" from a fellow stamper, Stacey Carter - thanks Stacey for the idea.

Cupcake Birthday

Hi there, finally posting something after 2 weeks of crazy

crafting for a vendor showcase I did at my home last Sunday. I was so busy trying to finish all my projects and then I also got a stress fracture on my foot and have been wearing a "boot" to keep it mobile. Going to the doctor tomorrow to see how it's healing.

Anyway I have a co-worker who asked me to make a birthday card for his 1yr old niece- he wanted the colors to be brown & pink (which is one of my favorites). Here is what I came up with. I used the 4 pack Big Bold Cupcake die for the Big Shot and the Scallop Circles #2 Bigz die. The DSP is retired along with the Pink Pirouette c/s, but I just love that color so I used it along with chocolate chip and whisper white. I ran the bottom of the cupcake through the paper crimper and put dazzling diamonds on the cupcake top. The Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was used on the word window punch & then layered on the modern label punch.

Trick or Treat

Today's post is the last project we did at our last class. We used the Batty for You stamp set and the Trick or Treat stamp from the hostess set, Holiday Best.

To make the bats - use the round tab punch, punch once on black c/s. Shifting the punch to the left see how thin or thick you want the bat to be and then punch out. Very easy to do, give it a try.

Sweet Treat Lollipop

This project was created using the idea shown at this year's SU convention. I love the new sweet treat cups and the Sweet Center stamp set. I will be making a lot of these for an upcoming event and I think they will be good sellers.

This would be really cute for a class gift for Halloween or just a cute little treat for the kids in your house.

Hi all,

The card I'm posting today is from my halloween class I had yesterday. I found a card on SCS that I really liked but I tweeked it a bit and since I only have one halloween set I decided to use a retired set, Carved & Candlelit. I told everyone before the class started that the set is not for sale and nobody had a problem with it. We did do a total of 4 projects, one of which I showed the other day, and we used all current products.

I really liked the way this card came out and everyone thought it was too cute. Hope you like it too.

Dracula Treat Holder

Today I'm posting a treat holder which will be one of the projects at my World Card Making Day event tomorrow. We are going to focus on Halloween cards and treat giving. I love this time of year! I got this idea from Angie Juda, a wonderful SU demo who is so very creative. Thanks, Angie!!

There is no stamping on this project, but we will use several punches to make it happen. It's a very easy and cute project which would be great for the classroom. Inside holds a mini candy bar, the best to use is either Kit Kat or Hershey's milk chocolate.

I can't wait to see everyone making these tomorrow - it'll be so much fun. We will be doing other projects which I will post in the next few days.

Poppin Pastels

Good morning.

I had a few of my stamp class girls ask to show some techniques that they hadn't done in a while. So at my last class I decided to show one. This post is about Poppin' Pastels. Taking the versamark pad and some pastel chalks you can create a colorful card. I used the Petal Pizzaz stamp set for this as solid stamps work best. After stamping your images with versamark just take sponge daubers and rub your chalks over and it will pick up the colors.

Dust off your pastels and give this technique a try.

My Little Tin Purse

Hi all, happy Sunday. It's raining here in NJ and it's a perfect day to stamp.

Yesterday I had a class featuring tools and techniques. The project I'm showing today showed how you can use the Crop-A-Dile to punch through metal. This is a tin which we make into a card "purse". We decorated with cardstock, DSP, the Big Shot with an embosslit die and the Serif alphabit and ribbons & hardware. It's really a fun and easy project and everyone loved their purse. You can use it to put note cards in or give it with a gift card for a unique package.

Ornament Punch Vase

Hi all,

I've been wanting to try different ideas using the ornament punch found in the Holiday mini catalog. I saw a card posted on Spiltcoaststampers by Donna Centamore that used it as a flower vase, which I thought was so creative. I also wanted to use my designer papers more so I got out my hostess Patterns Pack III and used the Really Rust stripe paper. I used Sahara Sand c/s for the base card and to stamp on the flower image, layered it on Soft Suede c/s. Besides the ornament punch I used the ticket corner, word window & modern label punches. I embellished the vase with a small orange flower fusion and a copper brad.

I think it came out pretty cute and hopefully you will try to use your punches in other ways!!

Card using My Digital Studio

Good morning all - I wanted to show you all how you can create a digital card on My Digital Studio. This is a great way to do a template before you actually do a real card so you don't waste paper, ink and embellisments. Once you have something you like you can do your real card the first time with no mistakes. I love this way to use MDS.

My First Digital Scrapbook Page

Happy Sunday!

After a while playing around with my new Stampin Up! "My Digital Studio" I finally did a very simple page just to try out. Since I'm not a scrapbooker at all I thought I'd try this concept out since it's the latest thing on the market. I must say it is growing on me and I think that I might be able to do this. This item will be available for purchase on Oct. 1st and has 2000 items loaded on the CD. With SU stamps, papers, colors, punches & embellishments you can create wonderful pages in just minutes and then print off to make your album. There will be future downloads that you can add to and it is compatible with both PC's and Mac's. Besides sb pages you can also make books out of your layouts and also calendars and digital cards.

This picture is of my great niece Gianna and is from Halloween last October - she made a very cute Dorothy, real red hair and all!!! Click on the page to enlarge. She's is too funny for words and an aspiring stamper!! I can't wait to create more pages and maybe even make books for Christmas gifts this year.

Hi all, long time no post!!!! I have got to stamp on the weekends and then do all my posting and schedule ahead of time for the week. That's what most sane bloggers do, right Peggy? LOL.

I made a birthday card for my dear brother-in-law who's birthday is tomorrow and I came up with this layout. I just purchased the Medallion background stamp and I love it - it's all the rage in SU land. I also used Sanded b/g stamp, Teeny Tiny Wishes, word window punch, modern label punch, brads, jumbo eyelet, grosgrain ribbon and the new In-Colors, Soft Suede & Dusty Durango.

I have to start stamping for a holiday showcase I'm doing at my house next month and this will give me the perfect time to have lots of new posts to share. I'm excited to share what I have in store for Halloween and Christmas.

Joy Ornament Punch Card

Good evening all.

This is the last of the holiday cards we did last week. I used a set out of the new Holiday Mini catalog which will available for ordering on Monday 9/1 - Delightful Decorations #116517 and the matching Ornament Punch #116794. The c/s is Baroque Burgundy, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and the DSP is retired holiday paper I had on hand. Besides the ornament punch the greeting is punched out with the word window #105090 and then layered on a punched modern label #116630. I love the way the ornament is popped up with dimensionals to give it a great 3D look. Artichoke 1/4" grosgrain ribbon finishes the card.

Holiday Snowflake

Good afternoon all,
Here is the 2nd card we did at our Holiday Stamp-A-Stack. I love the new Jumbo Snowflake Punch #116628 and the Christmas Cocoa DSP #116770!! This is such a cute fun card to do and you just need a few supplies. Cardstock is Brocade Blue & Whisper White.

The small snowflake & sentiment stamp I used was from the set Snow Swirled #111690 from the big catalog. There is a silver brad in the middle of the punched snowflake and then adhered to the c/s with mini glue dots. Bashful Blue 1/4" grosgrain ribbon is tied on top of the DSP and I stamped the sentiment in Brocade Blue, and the small snowflakes are stamped with Versa-Mark ink so it's a lighter shade.

Did I mention I love snowflakes!!!!

Christmas in August SAS - Reindeer Card

I had a class last Friday night and we did a Stamp-A-Stack making 12 Christmas Cards (3 each of 4 designs). I loved doing this class because I get to start on mine......which I usually procrastinate on until the beginning of December. One of the cards we did was one I posted Sunday - the kraft card with the two ornaments from the set Tree Trimmings , so I won't be showing you that one.

But today I will post my favorite of the 4 that we did with the "Dasher" stamp #116816. This is one of Stampin' Up's single stamps for under $10 which makes doing your holiday cards so easy. We used the Top Note Bigz Die #113463 in Whisper white over the base card of Real Red. Then using white craft ink we embossed the reindeer image with white embossing powder and heat set it on a piece of Real Red c/s. Taking the Ticket Corner punch #107214 we edged the reindeer rr c/s and then added the new Sleigh Bells holiday ribbon #116795 and then put Dazzling Diamonds glitter #102023 under the reindeer to look like snow.

Convention Make-N-Take: Scrapbook Page & Box

Happy Monday,

This is the last 0f the projects we did at convention. The first is an 8x8 scrapbook page using the Things I Love stamp set. We used Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Old Olive, Crushed Curry & Rich Razzleberry c/s, circle punches, 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, modern label punch and a large silver grommet.

The box is made of Old Olive textured c/s, and down the one side stamped with the Retro Remix standard wheel. On a piece of Whisper White c/s we stamped with the Hello Again set in Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay. It's finished off with Melon Mambo polka-dot grosgrain ribbon and a rhinestone brad.

I really loved the simplicity of all these projects and they will be super cute to share at a workshop!

Convention Make-N-Take: Holiday Cards

Hi, today's post is about the Christmas cards we did at convention. On the first one we used the set Sweet Season #116471, Glorious Green, Whisper White and Real Red c/s, DSP Merry Moments #115672, Real Red double stitched grosgrain ribbon #115607, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch and hemp twine. The card is a tri-fold card and the DSP & ribbon are made into belly bands to put around card to help keep it closed. I love the variety of differnt fold cards.

The second card goes back to basics and makes simple look great! The set is Tree Trimmings #116722 and the saying is from the set above, Kraft & Whisper White card stock, Real Red polka-dot grosgrain ribbon and dimensionals make this a quick & easy card. I love making holiday cards and this year I think with these sets I can get my cards done a bit earlier than usual!

Convention Make-N-Take: Holiday Boxes & Tags

Today's projects are using the new Treat boxes #115690, Two Tags BigZ Sizzix die #115954, Real Red 1" double stitched grosgrain ribbon #115607, and the set
Sweet Season #116471.

The boxes are are sold in a package of 5 for $3.95. They are so nice to use for candy or cookies for the holiday season. They are all scored for you so you just have to fold it together, no tape needed and they are very sturdy.

The tags used the same stamp set, Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock, scallop circle, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, clear rhinestone brads and dimensionals.

I think I'm going to have fun this year making treat boxes and gift tags for the holidays!

Convention Make-N-Take: Things I love......

Hello all on this HOT and HUMID day. Today I'm showing you another set of cards we did at convention. I say "set" because it's 3x3 cards with envelopes which can be used as tags or to just give out. My friend Peggy told me you can only mail them in a regular A2 envelope. The stamp set we used is called "Things I Love" #115229 and is perfect for the shoe fanatic, shopaholic or stamper (think chocolate!!!).

For the base card we used Bermuda Bay c/s and each card had a different "theme" for the focal point. Embellishments included the Melon Mambo polka dot grosgrain ribbon, circle punches, dimensionals and glitter. The cards were then put in a cello bag with matching envelopes and we stamped a topper on Melon Mambo textured c/s.

Package 3-6 of them and give them as a cute little gift for a hostess or friend.

Convention Make-N-Take: Hello Card

Hi all, today I am going to start posting the make-n-takes we did at convention this year.

The first one is an everyday card which I thought was so cute. The set we used is called Hello Again #113780 and it's a new in the catalog. The cardstock is Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Whisper White and we used Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Melon Mambo inks. The ribbon is the new Crushed Curry polka dot grosgrain ribbon and in the middle of the flower there is dazzling diamonds to make it sparkle.

This is a great stamp set to get for easy fun cards and it's a great deal at $12.95!

Celebrating My 10th Year at Stampin' Up!

This year marked my 10 year anniversary with Stampin' Up! I can't believe I've been with the company that long and still really enjoy what I do. I truly love to create with rubber stamps and love to share it with everyone.

At the annual convention we celebrate our achievements by going on stage so everyone can share in your excitement and acknowledge your growth. I walked with my fellow 10 year achievers and my friend Peggy was able to capture my moment (even though I hate taking pictures), but it was a fun experience none the less.

Convention Trade #2

I have been negligent in my posting for the last 2 weeks, sorry for that. I just returned from the annual Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City and as usual I had a great time. I roomed with my buddy Peggy from Maryland and we had lots of fun meeting with other demos and friends that we've met in previous years and online.

I wanted to share my second trade I made - showing the new In-colors Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo and using the Oval All stamp set.

In the next few days I will be sharing some pictures of convention and also some new products that are coming out with the new Holiday Mini catalog starting Sept. 1st.

Bigz XL Box #2 Die - Tote

Happy Sunday,

Today's project is the last one we did at my Big Shot Class last week. Using the SU Bigz XL die called Box #2, we die cut 2 boxes and put them together but did not fold over the top flap. Using sticky strip on the back of one of the boxes we attached the boxes together. Punched an oval hole at the top to make a handle and you have a cute tote to put in goodies for a little gift.

Movers & Shapers Card

Hi everyone,

I love this die, the Bigz XL Movers & Shapers (114506) from Stampin' Up! It cuts your cardstock into a standard A2 card and with the removable magnetic insert, will cut out a shape wherever you want on the front of the card. This one is a lable cut and now there are 4 more you can buy in a set to go with this die.

I used the new In-Color c/s - Crushed Curry (115319) & Melon Mambo (115320) and the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon (115613). Matchbox Die Project

Hi all,

Here is the 2nd project we did using the Big Shot and the matchbox die from SU. You make 3 matchboxes with cardstock and stack them on top of eachother, adhere them together and then punch a hole in the center of each drawer and put a brad or something that will make it look like a pull. Take designer paper and wrap around all 3 drawers and complete with either ribbon or labels.

Big Shot Class Project

Here are the top note purses that the girls made at my Big Shot class on Friday night. Each one came out so cute and we had a good time putting them together. From top to bottom they were made by Joan, Susan, Kristina, Lisa and Debbie. Thanks for coming girls and you all did a great job!!

With the Big Shot there are so many cute projects you can come up with. Check in the next few days and I will show the other 2 projects we did using the matchbox die and the box #2 die. I also had a card using the Movers & Shapers die but we didn't have time to do it. I will be posting that one also.

Top Note Purse

Good morning all. Today I'm posting a project that we will be doing this weekend as part of my Big Shot Class. It's done with the top note big shot die and the big scallop circle die. As you can see this sample uses retired colors (Riding Hood Red & Kiwi Kiss and DSP Bella Rose) For the class I will be giving out a color and dsp that is current in the catalog.

Although this looks a little intimidting to make, it is really easy especially using the Big Shot machine. I love this machine and find that I am using it more and more.

The layering of the top note die is done by trimming off the outer portion of the die which is perforated. I used the Coluzzle to make the circle which is inside the scallop circle. Accessories used are 5/8" ribbon, jumbo eyelets, large circle brad and the 5 petal punch. The base of the purse is cardstock made into a box and the top note pieces are adhered to the box.

At the class we will be making 2 more 3D projects using the Big Shot and one card. Fee is $15 and the class will run from 7pm - 9:30pm.

Recipe Page

Hi everyone, well I guess you can say this is my weekly post since I haven't been good about doing a daily one! I promise to be better, (ok Peggy?).

Tonight I am sharing a recipe page that I'm doing for a swap with some of my AOL SU friends. This is the first time I am doing a scrapbook page swap - let alone a recipe one, since I really don't cook that much - LOL.

The swap is for a summer picnic or bbq recipe. Since I didn't have any off the top of my head I called upon my very talented cooking sister for her Tuna Mac salad which the whole family loves. I thought it would be fun to do a "beach" theme since I was dealing with fish - long shot, I know.

Even though I used retired stamps and soon to be retired card stock, I think it came out pretty good for my first time. This is an 8x8 page and we have 9 people in the swap so it will be a nice book to put together - I will share when I receive all the pages.

Cheep Talk Box & Card Set

I was going to make cards to go with the box I had made in my last post but I just couldn't design simple note cards with the set I used.

When I recieved my SAB reward order this week I got a set that I've been wanting for awhile, Cheep Talk. It's so cute with the little birds I just had to make another box using this set and then the notecards just came easy. I love this project and I think it's a perfect gift that's fun to do and very practical to give. Click on the image to enlarge it.

Note Card Box

Hi all, I made this box a while ago but never had a chance to decorate the top. It uses the Always stamp set and Ballet Blue cardstock and ink. I wanted to make this to hold note cards which will be the standard A2 size card. It can hold 6 cards with envelopes and I thought I could use them as gifts for birthdays and also sell them on my Etsy shop.

Tomorrow I will make the cards that will go into the box and post them. These are pretty easy to make and I think will be a really cute addition to my online shop.

Scallop Dress Card

I've seen this image of the dress on so many blogs and on SCS and I wanted to try it myself. I thought it was going to be difficult to cut out the form, but it was not that bad - don't know why it took me so long to try it. You use the SU sizzix large scallop circle and cut out the shape. After a few tries cutting it just right on cardstock, I traced it onto a chipboard scallop and made a template for the future - sometimes I amaze myself! lol.

The base card is Pink Pirouette - another retiring color, boo hoo. I took whisper white and ran a cuttlebug embossing folder through my Big Shot and punched the side with the eyelet scallop punch. The dress is made with the polka dot paper from the Bella Rose DSP and the waist has pp ribbon, a felt flower from Flower Fusion II embellishments and a small rhinestone brad from the Pretties Kit. I did use a new stamp set from the new 2009-2010 catalog which is a great greeting set - it's called Teeny Tiny Wishes - love it! I mounted the saying "{friend to friend}" on a Riding Hood Red c/s punched out with the oval scallop.

New 2009-2010 In-Colors

Here is a sneak peek at the new In-Colors that will be in the new Stampin' Up! catalog beginning July 1st. This year SU included markers for the 6 new colors as well - Yippee!!! No more using the blender pens and ink pads to color.

The names of the colors are: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango.

These colors will be available in card stock, both 8 1/2 x 11 and 12x12, regular and textured, classic ink pads, ink refills, markers and polka dotted grosgrain ribbon in 1/2".

The new Stampin' Up! year promises to be another exciting one and I can't wait to share all of the new stamp sets and accessories very soon.
